Érin and Ivan’s romantic Autumnal Wedding

I first met Érin at a Wedding fair, looking for a Wedding Photographer. While I was taking down her details, I learned that her surname was Devlin. I remember telling her I always wanted to be Michelle Devlin. A throwback to my youth, going to loads of Irish music gigs to see Colin Devlin of The Devlins play.
Engagement Shoot
Flash forward to one month before the wedding where we met again this time in Garryvoe. This was to take their Engagement shoot. Chatting over coffee, before we braved the Irish weather, I learned that this beautiful couple did not have many pictures together, even though they were together over 9 years. I promised to change that. The resulting images taken on the beach were breath-taking and showed a couple very much devoted to each other. The engagement shoot also put their minds at rest, as they felt super relaxed while I got beautiful shots of them.
Wedding Day
One month later on a beautiful October’s day, a nod to the couple’s love of Autumn, Érin and Ivan’s wedding day had finally arrived. I started my day, taking photos at Ivan’s parents home. The athmosphere was relaxed but trepidation was definately hanging in the air. I then continued on to Erin’s sister’s house to a house full of excitement. The morning was a blur of activity, while the ladies busied themselves getting ready. However, Érin still found a moment to enjoy a glass of Midleton rare whiskey with her dad to calm the nerves before the ceremony :-).
Érin and Ivan were married at Saint Colman’s Church in Ballintotas, followed by reception at Garryvoe Hotel. http://www.garryvoehotel.com/ We stopped in Castlemarytr for photos where the couple took a moment to themselves to embrace being married.
Garryvoe was fabulous as always. What a great spot for a wedding. Thanks to everyone for making the day so special.
